Details
This CLE will provide a practical overview of Earned Program Sentence Credits under 730 ILCS 5/3-6-3. Presented from both trial and appellate perspectives, the program will explore how pretrial credits are earned, calculated, and challenged, with particular attention to recent case law and the update to the statute which will go into effect January 1, 2027.

Biography
Amaris Danak is an Assistant Appellate Defender with the Office of the State Appellate Defender and has given presentations to the Office of the State Appellate Defender, and the Illinois Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Amaris is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, and joined OSAD after working for seven years as a legal aid attorney with Prairie State Legal Services.
