Biography
Ginger Odom is the Director of the Expungement Unit at the Office of the State Appellate Defender, which she joined as an Assistant Appellate Defender in 2004. She oversees all aspects of the Agency’s Expungement Program, disseminating information to the public about expungement, sealing, and other forms of criminal and delinquency records relief. Record-clearing helps individuals with convictions overcome the legal barriers they face. Additionally, Ginger helps people learn about removing the restrictions on jobs, housing, education and other supports that are key to family stability and economic security. Ginger is also an adjunct professor at DePaul University College of Law, where she teaches advanced criminal procedure.
