Harnessing the talents and intelligence of investigators to put on a compelling defense case begins with the formation of an attorney/investigator team. This seminar will have attorney/investigator teams conduct an actual field investigation and discuss the results of that investigation. We’ll have a special session for investigators on how to prepare for testimony that will run simultaneously with an attorney session on direct examination technique. Finally, attorneys will prep an investigator to testify as to their investigation, and attorneys and investigators will practice giving that direct examination, with and without exhibits, in a workshop setting. 

*While Public Defender offices are encouraged to send both investigators and attorneys, attorneys sent without investigators will be matched up with investigators from other offices.
